Womens Empowerment Summit 2023 - Early Registration is now open!

we are setting out to empower and uplift our community of women with disabilities throughout California! We want to organize our community, led by Women, to come together, unify and send a powerful message across our great State!


Our summit will open with our Keynote Speaker, The Honorable Gloria Molina, former County of Los Angeles Supervisor of the 1st District! Additional esteemed guests include Ms. Mary Zendejas, Councilmember for the City of Long Beach; Dr. Julia Mockeridge, Associate Health Deputy for the 4th Supervisorial District; Ms. Ana Acton, Deputy Director of the California Department Of Rehabilitation; and Dr. Connie Gutierrez, Disabled Students Programs and Services Director at Rio Hondo College.


Facilitating and coordinating our entire program: Mrs. Gabriela Ramirez, SCRS Regional Director; Ms. Frena Harris, SCRS Director of Development; Ms. Crystal Garibay, SCRS Employment Services Program Manager; Mrs. Shannen Torres, SCRS Employment Services Program Manager, Ms. Latoya Tate, SCRS Employment Services Program Manager; and Ms. Lynda Gomez, SCRS College Transitions Program Manager.

As a registered participant, you will have the opportunity to actively engage with leaders in our community doing impactful work. This is your opportunity to ignite that spark, ask your questions, gain insight and be uplifted and empowered to amplify your voice even further.


There will be giveaways, lunch is included and there will be a resource area to network further and collect valuable community information.


All of our events are a scent-free environment, and we respectfully ask that you refrain from wearing and using strong scented products while participating at the summit. By attending this summit, you acknowledge and accept that this event will be photographed and recorded for purposes of highlighting it and marketing future SCRS events.


This event is intended to be a safe space for everyone participating and we ask all attendees to be respectful and mindful of our diversity throughout your time at the summit.
