President Signs The Able Act into Law

Below is a message about a White House event that took place on February 10th, 2015 to promote awareness of the benefits of the ABLE Act for individuals with disabilities.  The ABLE Act will allow people who are eligible for SSI and for SSDI to save significant amounts of money and not be declared no longer disabled.  Also eligible will be individuals who are not receiving SSI or SSDI benefits, but whose functional limitations meet the medical criteria for SSI and SSDI.

President Obama signed the Act into law.  Now the U.S. Treasury Dept. will write implementing regulations.
