Outreach to Veterans
In an effort to reach the goals of the State Plan for Independent Living (SPIL), SCRS is reaching out to partner with several groups listed in the state plan. SCRS sent staff to participate in the Statewide Disabled American Veterans Conference held in San Diego to learn more of the issues facing Veterans who have a service connected disability. Connections were made with local chapters and meetings set up to see how we can partner with these groups to promote independence.
