Women to Women Support Group Meetings

CFILC’s Systems Change Network Statewide Road Map

The SCRS Emergency Assistance Fund is for the benefit of SCRS consumers who need emergency funds in order to maintain their independence. These funds can only be used when all other options are explored and exhausted, and they are given as a no-interest loan (what you receive is what you owe). These funds are only for emergency situations.

Examples of how these funds can be used include:

• Utility bills (power, water, gas)
• Phone bills
• Rent, mortgage, or deposits
• Home modifications
• Insurance payments
• Groceries
• Transportation
• Medical expenses or supplies
• Assistive devices (shower chair, grab bars, etc.)
• Temporary personal assistance or cleaning services
• Other instances as approved by SCRS Administrative Staff

To qualify for this program:

• You must have a disability, live in our service area, and be a consumer of SCRS.
• You must complete and sign a Promise to Pay Form.
• You must agree to attend an Independent Living Skills class on budgeting and money management.
• You may need to provide additional documentation to receive funding for certain items.
• You must pay back your loan before you will be allowed to receive another loan.
• Your request for funds must be approved by the SCRS Administrative Staff before you receive the funds. SCRS cannot promise that funds will be available or approved.

SCRS is enrolled in Ralph's Community Contribution Plan. If you shop at Ralph's and have a Ralph's Club Card, you can register to help our organization. Every time you swipe your card, we will earn rebates. It's that simple!

SCRS is seeking new members for our Board of Directors. The SCRS Board is comprised of individuals with disabilities and individuals with an interest in disability issues. The Board generally meets once a month on a Tuesday.
